Following the example of St. Francis De Sales, we cherish universal openness to all cultures and peoples, philosophy and theology, in short anything divine and human. Every member of the province by virtue of his missionary commitment volunteers to work in any part of the globe, to any country the province may send him.

WEST-CENTRAL AFRICAN MISSION |

The Chad-Cameroon mission in West-Central Africa is an integral part of our province and we began our missions there in 1999. In 1996 the General council decided to accept the invitation of Msgr. Michel Russo, Bishop of Doba in Chad and asked the South West province to pioneer the new mission in Doba. Thus the pioneering team of Frs. Antony Mookenthottam, Thomas Payattukandathil and Jose Puthiaparambil arrived in Doba in November 1999. There are four communities in Chad-Cameroun Mission, viz., Maison Pierre Mermier in Yaounde, the parish community of St. Josephine Bakhita in Ekoundoum and Maison Saint Francois de Sales in Ngaoundere, Cameroun and Mission Catholique in Doba, Tchad. THE PHILIPPINES MISSION |

The Philippines Mission was entrusted to the South-West Province in 1993 and the subsequent years of hard work by the pioneers and the other confreres are bearing fruits now. The purpose of our Congregation in the Philippines is twofold – to be and to serve as missionaries of Saint Francis De Sales in the Philippines Church as well as to form missionaries of Saint Francis De Sales from the Philippines Church. The many candidates we have in our Formation house in Silang, Cavite, give us new and dynamic hope in our vision of mission in the Philippines. See More>> |

Besides the two missions of Chad-Cameroon and the Philippines South West Province has also its confreres rendering their service in the United States of America. Most of them are engaged in pastoral ministry under various dioceses. We have also entered into a ministry collaboration with the Congregation of Alexian Brothers in the area of Health Care facilities. See More>> |

South West Province is engaged in rendering pastoral service in certain countries in Europe too. The province has played a vital role in making the presence of the congregation felt in Germany by establishing an MSFS Foundation in Oy-Mittelberg in the diocese of Augsburg in 1994. The Foundation house is named House of St. Francis de Sales. See More>> |
