The
Philippines mission is growing strong and steady. We intend to
establish
the mission in terms of community structure and our missionary character.
We envisage the growth of our mission by communities and community
centered ministries. The immediate need is to have a novitiate house and
the staff to begin the novitiate. The
priority is Formation of the indigenous Philippino MSFS to implant the
Congregation and its mission in the Philippines with a strong indigenous
foundation. Fr. Sunny Punnakuzhiyil, the Mission Superior and other
confreres are fully involved in this task of the congregation.
There is a lot
of fraternal feeling, cheerfulness, mutual collaboration, desire to build
up the mission, hard work and oneness existing among our conferees.
Communities are well knit within and well disposed to each other.
There are abundant possibilities and openings
for different ministries such as Parish renewal retreats, retreat
preaching, Family
Counseling, Youth apostolate, apostolate for the neglected children etc.
The Future growth of our Philippines mission remains very much in the
vitality of mutual communion, coordination of efforts, diversification of
ministries, evangelical witness of the confreres and promotion of
indigenous Fransalians.
